Bright & Fun Ocean-Inspired Branding & Packaging for Craft Spirits, Pink Sand Spirits Co.

Named after the iconic, natural beauty of the Harbor Islands, Pink Sand Spirits Co. is the premier spirits brand of Island Concierge Company, Conch & Coconut.
We worked with the C&C team a couple of years ago on their branding, and were so excited to work with them again to bring Pink Sand Spirits Co. to life! They came to us wanting our full experience: business naming, complete brand identity system, and label/packaging design for their entire line-up of spirits and ready to drink canned cocktails.

We focused on a few main objectives.

After dozens of concepts, we landed on this iconic PS icon featuring a pitchfork and mermaid. We also brought in the stamp icon from the Conch & Coconut brand to represent sending a piece of the Bahamas home.

Naming

Capturing the essence of what makes Harbour Island so special.

This project began with a Research Brief where we dove deep into the Pink Sand market, style, and goals. We took some time to thoroughly vet and research competitors, looking at the vodka market as a whole. This helped the Conch & Coconut team come up with a solid name for their new vodka, ultimately landing on Pink Sand as a nod to Harbour Island.

Branding

Setting the tone as an enchanting and adventurous brand.

We dove right into exploring concepts knowing that we needed to truly encapsulate the carefree essence of being on vacation. We landed on the mermaid with the trident: representing legend and adventure. This sand-siren symbolizes tales of travel from those who bring a bottle home from the Bahamas. Pairing the logo with a super fun heading font and 9 colors in the palette makes the Pink Sand brand ready to stand out on the shelves!

Packaging

Using the flavor ways as inspiration.

Our favorite part — the label design! We started with a preliminary design featuring bright and fun colors, ocean-inspired illustrations, and a cute stamp design all centered on the different flavors of Vodka, Gin, Run, and Tequila. We finalized these with all of the detailed elements that you can see if you look closely at the label, and can be adapted as the Pink Sand’s family of spirits and ready-to-drink cans grow in the future!
