How did you feel
I felt like I wasn't accurately portraying myself the way I felt my clients should see me. I strive to provide amazing customer service and meticulous attention to detail for every single couple I work with, and my brand (if you could even call it that at the time!) definitely did not reflect that. It looked muddy and thrown together. And because I was never completely happy with how it looked, I was constantly changing it, which didn't help!
How do you feel now?
I feel so incredibly confident and proud of my brand. It is a true reflection of me and what I strive to provide for my clients. It's the perfect blend of all of the key ingredients I wanted my brand to showcase. And because I'm so confident in my brand now, I'm even more confident than ever in talking to potential clients about my services!
What did you walk away with after working with Kathryn?
I walked away with much more confidence and peace of mind in myself and my brand. I also walked away with a very clear, precise story to tell my clients about my brand and the meaning behind it. That brand story was in there all along, but it was so muddy and hidden, it was hard to explain to my clients!
Did you have any
along the way?
I think I had them every step of the way! At first, I was a little confused by some of the questions Kathryn had asked on the initial worksheet, but as soon as I started answering them, it all made sense. I was able to begin pouring my brand story out on paper almost immediately just by Kathryn asking the right questions. I also had an "aha!" moment every time Kathryn showed me a new proof of the visual aspects of my brand. It all began making sense once I was able to see the visuals to go along with my brand story!
Is there anything you are excited about for your business now?
Everything! I'm excited to begin working more with brides and couples who have the same beliefs and interests as me. I'm excited to provide more of what my clients love, and to build stronger relationships with my clients (yes, my brand is doing that already!). I'm excited to expand my services (something I was not confident enough to do before the rebrand) so my clients to have a more cohesive and heartfelt celebration.
What was it like
working with Kathryn?
Absolutely amazing! Kathryn is so wonderful - not only as a brand strategist, but also as a person. Every step of the way, I knew she was really listening to what I wanted my brand to say, and she really "got it." She is completely on point with all the questions she asks and feedback she gives. She sticks to a schedule, almost to the minute - the way to my heart! Kathryn was able to cohesively create my brand with the pages and pages of text I gave her! I'd do it over and over and over again if I had the opportunity.
Amanda used some of our design elements & created beautiful collateral! These lovely pieces arrived in my mailbox after we rebranded.
Do you have any advice
on branding for others?
Be true to yourself. Don't go looking at what others have done with their brand or try to start comparing your story to others. Your story is unique and beautiful and needs to be told. The less you look at other websites, brands, and visual elements during this process (for the purposes of branding), the more true you are able to be to yourself.
